Like many modern Americans, I'm proud of my mixed cultural heritage. In my case it's primarily German, Scottish and Willapa Chinook/Chehalis. I'm a member of the Chinook Indian Nation. My ancestors were the merchant traders of the Pacific northwest, traveling up the Columbia River, as well as north and south along what is now the Oregon and Washington coast. As a traveling artisan/merchant, I feel like I'm walking (sometimes literally) in their steps. - Alwynd McBride
